Statement Jewellery Workshop,
21st November, 9.30am - 4pm
Carlow County Library, Tullow Street, Carlow, R93 K126
A full-day immersive jewellery workshop at Carlow Library offering participants the chance to design and create their own bold statement piece.
Across the day, participants will move from idea to finished piece, guided step by step through planning, experimenting, and making. The morning session will focus on inspiration and design development, participants will begin making beads.
We will break for one hour at lunchtime. There are a number of cafés and shops close to the venue, offering plenty of choice for participants who’d like to step out for something to eat.
The afternoon session will focus on completing the piece. With support and demonstrations participants will bring their designs to life, learn practical techniques for assembly and finishing.
Participants will have the choice of creating either a statement necklace or an oversized brooch. By the end of the day, each participant will have a completed piece to take home.
The workshop will conclude with optional short styling and product photography session. This playful moment provides not only a record of your achievement but also a chance to share creativity with others, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the event.
Designer and maker Liga Valge will guide you through the session and share all the techniques and skills you need to enjoy the making process and finish your piece.
The workshop is open to adults of all skill levels.
Group size: 7 students per workshop
