Meet the Maker
Liga Valge, designer maker behind Valg Studio specialises in the medium of polymer clay to create simple, contemporary statement jewellery and sculptural wall art.
Colours and sheer versatility of the material allows to do so much.
Each time I begin to condition the clay I feel joy and the desire to reach for new ideas.
In the making process clay is handled constantly;
processes, order of the steps,
the rhythm, repetition, attention to the detail, challenges and striving for perfection.
My ultimate goal is to craft unique earrings, necklaces, and art pieces that empower women
or men to express their identity and personal style, making each piece a cherished reflection of its wearer or home.
Usually I work by the window in a large room moving between two
desks. I don’t need much space or tools to create but I find gorgeous
day light and being on my own gives me enormous joy, inspiration and satisfaction.
